Enchanté
A dream that was manifested at the age of 13, during a first visit to Lorgues. Already at this young age I knew that my future life would be in Lorgues. Years later this dream became reality. This unique opportunity was seized with both hands. A beautiful place where no less than 5 years of construction and renovation took place. An estate named after the family. A place to get together with family and friends.
The domain is now almost finished. (Because of course it is never completely finished!) The domain offers accommodation for a maximum of 16 people. Divided over the accommodations. Each accommodation is named after special family members.
The entire domain is self-sufficient. We live on the energy of the elements. That is sometimes a challenge, but above all a fantastic experience. You are much more connected to nature. If there is a lot of sun, then there is sufficient energy. A cloudy day, then you adapt to it by using less energy. Living with the elements, as it was meant to be. Contact with nature, something we have sometimes forgotten in the modern world. Here you can relax. The domain is located in a beautiful nature reserve that has been marked as a protected nature zone by the Municipality of Lorgues. The domain is located outside the center, but can be reached by car in 3 minutes. Or just as nice, on foot! Then you are walking for about 50 minutes, while enjoying beautiful views.
The roots of the Family lie in the Dutch part of the province of Limburg. Where I also grew up. My heart still warms when I think of Limburg and the Limburgers. What is sometimes missed here is the 'cup' of coffee and a piece of pie on the Vrijthof. It is always a treat to be back there every now and then.
At Maison Martens we like to combine these two worlds. Above all, we like to immerse you in the life of Provence, with Limburg hospitality! Together with my partner Manon, I would like to welcome you!
